Phases

Possible Outcomes

Phase I


Preliminary evaluation

  • The system is not new. The review process ends.
  • The system is new but outright rejected.
  • The system is new and should continue the thorough evaluation phase.
  • Termination/ freezing of the process by the owner.

Phase II


Thorough evaluation

  • Issuing of a Temporary Approval and a Preliminary Assessment Report. These documents will only be issued after Phase III of the process has been contracted.
  • Rejection of the system.
  • Termination/ freezing of the process by the owner.
 

Phase III


Sample monitoring phase

  • The system is suitable for a “Final Assessment Report” and a “final approval”
  • The monitoring phase is extended by renewing the Temporary Approval and the Preliminary Assessment Report.
  • The system is rejected and the Temporary Approval Certificate is revoked.
  • Termination/ freezing of the process by the owner and the Temporary Approval is revoked.

Phase IV


Issuing of a “final Assessment Report ” and “Final Approval”

  • Finalization of the review process with the issuing of a “Final Assessment Report” and a “Final Approval”.
